Katharina Nocun


Katharina Nocun is a civil rights activist, blogger and author. For more than 10 years she works for strengthening the right on data privacy. She is involved in several constitutional complaints related to state data collection.

In recent years she has led numerous campaigns in the field of Civil rights and network topics such as the campaign "Protection for Edward Snowden in Germany" of Campact e. V..

In the past she was active for the Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband (VZBV) and the popular initiative SH stops CETA.

Nocun was political director of the pirate party Germany in 2013. In April 2018, her book was published: "The Data I Called: How we sell our freedom to large corporations" which deals with the problem of data collections treated by company and state. Her monthly Podcast "Denkangebot" deals with topics related to digitization.
